Shana sets aside her classical training and shows all of her colors and attitudes through classics by Kurt Weill and Harold Arlen; novelty songs by Francesca Blumenthal and Jeanine Tesori; hit songs by Carly Simon and Cyndi Lauper; a fun James Bond Medley and more. “I have a deep appreciation for the power of imagination,” Shana says. ”I firmly believe in the use of creativity and make-believe to help alleviate the stresses of reality and everyday life. This show is an opportunity for the audience to get to know who I am.” Some of the songs slated to be in the show are: Pure Imagination, Moon River, My Ship, True Colors, Let the River Run, and Girl in 14G.
In addition to performing, Shana Farr is the inspirational designer and owner behind SHANA FARR DESIGNS which she enjoys discussing it a bit in her show. Shana Farr will be one of the guest performers for an evening that is starring Liz Callaway and will be hosted by John Tartaglia. Other performers will be the Youth Pride Chorus and Our Lady J. Shana is not only performing at this event, but she will also be displaying her brand new jewelry line Shana Farr Designs. NYCGMC commissioned her to design their 30th Anniversary lapel pin and will also be launching her first piece of men’s jewelry “The Fortune Cookie Cuff Link” inspired by her signature piece “The Fortune Cookie Pendant”.
